The bell is ringing

But I just wanted to say I'm still alive and at the PC Center for my last day of training, exciting! Our swear-in is at the ambassadors house on Friday and our host families get to come too. This week I want to carve a pumkin-like gord for nostalgia and cook chicken pot pie, recipes appreciated. There are more pictures up on websots, some are from a womens day we had in an aldea of Jocotan, others are of volunteers, check them out.
Peace. Love.
Robin

I do not know how you do it! You have become my hero. I know that you are being tested to the max, You must know, however, that we, all the people that were cheering for you at your graduation, are still cheering. I miss you!
There are others that need you more...but you knew that when you began your journey. Love Dad

Wow. I am humbled. I once was kinda proud of spending a winter in an old farm house with only 1 wood stove for heat and ice growing inside the closet (VA mountains 1998-9). And I married the guy to boot! When you get back home you will never adjust that little box on the wall without a touch of reverence :-))

The torch in Jocotan has been passed to a wonderful, smart, and compassionate young woman. I know and understand this better than anyone being the former volunteer in her site. She impressed me and several people in the community when with her limited Spanish stood up in front of a group of nearly 200 citizens, addressed the crowd, and expressed her appreciation and enthusiasm for the opportunity.

The next two years for Robin will contain the most difficult challenges, struggles, and sacrifices of her young life. However, if she continues to have a positive attitude and outlook she will persevere and likely have great accomplishments.

She will need the support and attention from all of her family, friends, and acquaintances. It is imperative to leave messages for her because any note received can be completely uplifting. This may be something as simple as saying that you were thinking about her today.

Robin I wish you the absolute best in your journey. It was one that changed my life forever and am willing to support you in anyway possible.

¡Va Pues mi estimada!

Sincerely,

Drew Anderson
